Watercolor is often described as an unforgiving and difficult medium, but some of its merits are its portability, quickness to dry, transparency, and spontaneity. This class is designed for both beginners and those familiar with watercolor painting, and will teach techniques for planning your painting, color theory, and more. You’ll get the most out of this class if you have experience in drawing from life. Materials will be available but if you have paints/brushes you're already working with, please bring those.

Quilting is more than just a craft—it’s a blend of art, tradition, and warmth that people of all ages can enjoy, including kids! Designed for children ages 6-12, this class introduces learners to the world of quilting, fostering creativity, patience, and the satisfaction of making something beautiful with their own hands. In this two-day, three-hour class, young sewers will start with the basics and work step by step to create their own lap quilt. Students should have a basic understanding of hand sewing, pinning, measuring, ironing, and sewing machine use. However, guidance and support will be provided to ensure both safety and fun. By the end of the class, each child will have a foundational understanding of quilting and will complete a throw quilt using pre-cut fabric, batting, binding, and hand-tying techniques.
