Calling ALL Artisans: Please RSVP for Fine Arts on the Lawn! Up-to-date CAA Members will have the opportunity to exhibit on the Front Porch display during Fine Arts on the Lawn, our annual outdoor artwork sale on Labor Day Weekend, August 30 & 31! The Details: Must be an up-to-date CAA Member to participate (join or renew your membership any time, online or in person!) There is a $15 registration fee to participate You may display up to five original 2D artworks (no reproductions!) Your work must be labeled with a card on the front that includes your name, city, title, medium and price! Kids Art Camp at the CAA Kid's Art Camp with Nicholas Stein One Week in August     Kids Art Camp at the CAA Looking for a fun, creative outlet for your child? Our upcoming kids' art camp offers the perfect opportunity for young artists to explore new skills, express themselves, and make something truly their own. With hands-on projects, guidance from a talented instructor, and a focus on imagination and confidence-building, this one-week camp is a great way to spark your child’s love of art! Kids Art Camp with Nicholas Stein Monday - Friday, August 11 - 15 1:00 am - 3:00 pm each day Week Rate: $145 CAA Members | $170 Non-Members Day Rate: $30 CAA Members | $35 Non-Members Monday, August 11: Multi-Media Abstract Self Portraits Campers will dive into self-expression by creating abstract self-portraits using paint, collage, writing, and more. Emphasizing emotions and symbols over physical appearance, kids will explore who they are through a variety of fun and creative materials. ​ Tuesday, August 12: Tape-Resist City Skylines Using painter’s tape and bold colors, kids will design and reveal their own vibrant city skylines. This exciting project teaches planning, contrast, and how to create with positive and negative space in a playful and imaginative way. Wednesday, August 13: Nature Printmaking Campers will gather natural materials like leaves and flowers to create beautiful prints. They’ll explore texture, shape, and pattern while learning the basics of printmaking and gaining a deeper appreciation for nature through hands-on creativity. Thursday, August 14: Color Emotion Wheels Kids will express their feelings through color and form, creating vibrant emotion wheels or abstract compositions. Through thoughtful color choices and discussion, campers will learn how art can be a powerful tool for emotional expression. Friday, August 15: Collaborative Mural on Paper Campers will work together to create a large-scale mural on paper. Each child will contribute their own artistic voice while connecting their work to others, encouraging teamwork, storytelling, and creative collaboration to wrap up the week with a shared masterpiece. Kids Art Camp with Lexi LeRoux Monday - Friday, July 14 - 18 11:30 am - 1:30 pm each day Week Rate: $145 CAA Members | $170 Non-Members Day Rate: $30 CAA Members | $35 Non-Members Monday, July 14: Rock Photo Holders Students will paint intricate designs on rocks and learn the art of wire wrapping to display a favorite photo. ​ Tuesday, July 15: Paint With Unusual Items Students will learn how to create visual texturing using marbles, bead necklaces, legos, corks, bubble wrap, and more! Wednesday, July 16: Ribbon Wall Hanging Students will create one-of-a-kind wall art for their rooms using tree branches, twine, and ribbon. Thursday, July 17: Decoupage Students will learn how to decoupage using oyster shells and party napkins . All students will make a trinket disk, key chain, or both. Friday, July 18: Sidewalk Painting & Mindfulness Jars Students will learn meditation techniques and make their own mindfulness jars. Sidewalk chalk painting will welcome gallery visitors for the 1 pm show of this week's art. About Lexi: Lexi has a degree in Art Education from Tufts University in association with the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
