MOHAWK VALLEY GIVES IS TODAY Friday September 18! THREE WAYS TO INVEST IN OUR COMMUNITY Your gift does more than support an arts organization—it helps create places where people can explore, create, learn, connect, and belong. This Day of Giving, support the Cooperstown Art Association and The Smithy Gallery & Clay Studio as we work to build a stronger, more vibrant creative community—preserving our history while creating new opportunities for the future. And through The Smithy’s special 53 Pioneer matching campaign, your gift can be DOUBLED! Your support can help preserve and transform this historic community treasure into a vibrant, year-round arts center. YOUR GIFT MAKES A DIFFERENCE When you give on September 18, you help: Keep art accessible with free gallery admission and affordable programs. Support artists by providing opportunities to exhibit, sell, learn, and connect. Create opportunities to learn through classes, workshops, demonstrations, and hands-on experiences. Preserve local history by maintaining historic spaces and giving them new life. Strengthen our community by creating welcoming places where people come together through creativity. THIS DAY, GIVE WHERE YOU LIVE, CREATE, AND CONNECT. Your generosity makes these opportunities possible. Thank you for investing in our creative community!    COOPERSTOWN ART ASSOCIATION Nearly 100 years of art, artists & community Since 1928, the Cooperstown Art Association has been a home for creativity in the heart of Cooperstown. Today, your support helps us present exhibitions, educational programs, workshops, demonstrations, and community events throughout the year—all while keeping our galleries free and welcoming to everyone. Your gift helps put art within reach. It helps an emerging artist exhibit their work. It helps a child discover a new creative love. It helps a visitor experience regional and national art for the first time. It helps ensure that this community resource remains here for generations to come. Give   THE SMITHY GALLERY & CLAY STUDIO Preserve the past. Create the future. The Smithy is more than a historic building. It is a living center for creativity and connection. Its galleries provide exhibition opportunities for local and regional artists, while the Clay Studio offers year-round opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels to learn, create, and explore. Your gift helps keep creativity in motion. It supports artists and exhibitions, affordable arts education, hands-on studio experiences, and the preservation of one of Cooperstown's most historic spaces. Historic place. Creative future. Community impact. Give   Special Matching Campaign! 53 PIONEER PROJECT Give Today. Your Gift Will Be DOUBLED! HELP US BUILD WHAT COMES NEXT! Imagine a place where artists, students, families, and art-lovers of all ages come together to create, learn, and connect. And right now, your impact goes twice as far.  When you give today, your contribution will be DOUBLED, helping turn this historic building into a thriving arts destination for generations to come. That's the vision for 53 Pioneer—a vibrant, year-round arts center in a historic 1826 Cooperstown building. A $640,000 New York Forward grant has helped launch the project. Now we need our community to help take it to the next level. Transforming 53 Pioneer into a state-of-the-art arts facility will require a $2 million + investment and will create space for: LEARNING — a flexible studio and classroom space. CREATING — affordable classes, workshops, and hands-on experiences for children, teens, and adults. SUPPORTING ARTISTS —retail space where artists can exhibit, connect with audiences, and sell their work. CONNECTING — a welcoming place for neighbors, families, artists, and visitors to gather and share ideas. Every new donor who gives today can help make twice the impact. Your gift isn't simply helping renovate a building. You're helping create the future of the arts in Cooperstown and throughout our region.
