Opening Friday October 2 | 5 -7 pm    Two New  Exhibitions     Exciting Things Are Coming to the CAA! Join us Friday, October 2 for the opening of Land and Sea: From Coastal Maine to Rural New York and the launch of Luck of the Draw! We’re excited to welcome you to the Cooperstown Art Association on Friday, October 2, from 5–7 p.m. for an evening celebrating art, artists, and our CAA community. Land and Sea:From Coastal Maine to Rural New York Our next exhibition features paintings by William Bracken and Deborah Bayly, two artists whose work reflects the landscapes and places that have shaped their lives. Bracken’s watercolor and gouache paintings capture buildings and landscapes transformed by nature and time, while Bayly’s paintings celebrate the rural places she knows and loves—from weathered barns, disappearing structures, woodlands, water, and open skies. Opening Reception: Friday, October 2, 5–7 p.m. On View: October 3–30 Luck of the Draw Returns! Also launching October 2 is our biennial Luck of the Draw fundraiser—and this year’s event promises to be a lot of fun!  Tickets go on sale Friday, October 2, with just 80 tickets available for an exhibition featuring 80 works of art donated by local artists and craftspeople. Here’s how it works: After viewing the artwork, each ticket holder creates their personal “wish list,” ranking the pieces they’d most like to take home. At the final drawing, those rankings are used to determine which artwork each participant receives as names are drawn at random.  Final Drawing: Sunday, October 18 at 2 p.m. Every ticket purchased directly supports the Cooperstown Art Association and helps us continue bringing exhibitions, educational programs, and community arts opportunities to Cooperstown. We hope you’ll join us October 2 to celebrate the new exhibition, explore the Luck of the Draw artwork, and enjoy an evening with fellow CAA members and friends!
