Due To Asbestos Abatement Project

An Important Announcement from the Cooperstown Art Association: The CAA & Village Library will be CLOSED on Saturday, May 8th for an Asbestos Abatement Project in Gallery A! On Saturday, May 8th, an asbestos abatement project will be taking place in The Cooperstown Art Association’s Gallery A. As a result the Village Hall – including all CAA galleries and their gallery shop, and The Village Library of Cooperstown – will be closed on May 8th while this project is being completed. Please be sure to plan your visits around this closure. We apologize for any inconvenience! As a reminder, the CAA & Village Library are normally closed on Sunday and Monday, so both institutions will be back open to the public and resume normal activities on Tuesday, May 11th! Looking for a Mother's Day Gift? The CAA Gallery Shop has some great options for a unique Mother's Day Gift - from ceramics, to textiles, and jewelry - all made by local and regional artists! A reminder to all the procrastinators our there... Do You Know A Graduating High School Senior Planning To Pursue Art in College? You Should Encourage Them To Apply For The CAA's Art Scholarship Award! This scholarship is available to students graduating from any Clark Scholarship-eligible school districts in 2020 and are planning to pursue art at the college level. The CAA is happy to be providing up to $1400 in awards through this scholarship opportunity! How To Apply: This year, all applications for the art scholarship will be submitted through a form on the CAA's website! Simply answer all of the questions on the entry form and then upload the following: 5 images (jpegs) of your artwork that best represents your abilities A document containing a numbered list that corresponds to your images, listing the titles and mediums for each piece The deadline for application submissions is June 12th! CAA Opens Two New Exhibits in Gallery C on Friday, April 9th!

The CAA is excited to present two new exhibits, both on display in Gallery C* as of Friday, April 9th! Also, the CAA Gallery Shop will once again be open through October for all of your shopping and gift giving needs! We hope to see you soon! * Due to unforeseen circumstances, these exhibits planned for Gallery A & B have been relocated to Gallery C, in the upstairs ballroom!
