4-Week Open Studio August 8 - Sept. 2

*Studio Closed August 12*

*Open studio entails scheduled times for people to come work independently with no instruction.

*If no open studio participants have arrived within 1.5 hours of a session, the studio will close.

4-Week Open Studio Fee-$90.00

*One Bag of Clay Included

*Classes and open studio are ages 18 and up, unless marked otherwise.

Open Studio Schedule:

Monday 10am-1pm *New Time

Tuesday Closed

Wed. 1:30pm-4:30pm

Thursday 6pm-9pm

Friday 1:30pm-4:30pm

*Open Studio Drop-In Fee: $30 per Session

How To Register:

To register for the class or open studio, please email Adam at the studio at gallery@smithyarts.org.

Payment can be made on the first day of class by check, cash, or credit card.

*The studio will require anyone taking a course or open studio to be fully vaccinated, and provide proof with vaccination card or empire pass.

*Mask wearing will be optional for everyone working in the studio, but we do reserve the right to change this policy based on current health situations.

Kid's Art Camp this Summer at the CAA!

Kid's Art Camp with Emilie Rigby

Monday - Friday | August 15 - August 19 | 1:00 - 3:30pm

Members $30/day or $145/week

Non-Members $35/day or $170/week

This year for kids art week, we are blending art with science and nature observation. We will meet at the art association classroom, and many of the classes will have an outdoor component. Please bring weather appropriate clothing, a water bottle, and a snack if you would like. This is a great opportunity to get out of the house, meet some new friends, and learn about the natural world and how to use it as inspiration for your art!

What to Expect

Emilie Rigby will be instructing a five day summer camp style set of classes this summer at the CAA! This is perfect for children looking to get out and into nature for a week and explore the creativity within them. Each day offers a new experience, a chance to learn a new set of skills, and an excuse to explore the natural beauty of our environment. Emilie is well-versed in the art of blending the natural world around us into meaningful artistic expression, and will aim to spark the creative drive within the children who sign-up for her camp sessions.

What to Bring

-- Appropriate clothing, a water bottle, and snacks if you would like

-- An unlined notebook for the session on Aug. 15th

-- All other materials will be provided

About the Instructor

CAA Member Artists - Fine Arts on the Lawn Reminder!

Fine Arts on the Lawn!

Up-to-date CAA Members will have the opportunity to exhibit on the Front Porch display during Fine Arts on the Lawn, our annual outdoor artwork sale on Labor Day Weekend, September 3 - 4, 2021!

The Details:

Must be an up-to-date CAA Member to participate (join or renew your membership any time, online or in person!)

There is a $10 registration fee to participate

You may display up to five original 2D artworks (no reproductions!)

Your work must be labeled with a card on the front that includes your name, city, title, medium and price! (Remember that the CAA retains a 30% commission on all sales)
