Grand Opening of the CAA's New Classroom Space is this Friday!

On to the next event!  Join us this Friday, October 4th from 5-7pm for the Grand Opening of the Cooperstown Art Association Big Red Annex Art School located at 5 Railroad Avenue next to Spurbeck's Grocery!  Look for the balloons and park across the street in the New York Susquehanna & Western Railway Corporation parking lot.

Enjoy live music by Scott Anderson and Tony Brower and food as we celebrate the official opening of our new classroom space, introducing new classes and workshops starting the week of October 7th!

Instructors of upcoming classes will be there to show off their work and chat with potential students! Artwork by children who attended the Hand Print Summer Art Classes will be on view for one night only as well!

Opening Reception This Friday at CAA!

Stop by and celebrate our community with an opening reception for three new exhibits on Friday, September 27th from 5-7pm at the Cooperstown Art Association!  The opening reception is generously sponsored by the Bieritz Agency and Brewery Ommegang.  Join us for a vocal performance by Glimmerglass Young Artist, Sarah Parnicky at 5:30pm and music by Tim Iversen from 6-7pm along with delightful food and drink.  "OPERA-tion Arts," "Sacred Wednesdays," and "Water, Water Everywhere" will be on display in all three galleries through October 25th!

Gallery Hours: Daily 11-4, Sunday 1-4, Closed Tuesdays.

Classes are held in our new space at 5 Railroad Avenue unless otherwise indicated.  This fall the CAA is offering: Plein Air Oil Painting with Mary Nolan, Watercolor Landscape with David Kiehm, Landscape Painting with Susan Jones Kenyon, Collage Class with Christine Alexander and a Handprints Afterschool Art Program for Kids.   Workshops include "Paint Like a Plein Air Artist," a Five Day Pastel Painting Workshop with Greg Barnes and a One Day Folk Art Painting Workshop with Pat Wiley. Don’t forget to register and pay for your spot prior to the beginning of each class!
