MONDAY
Advanced Wheel Throwing: Some Assembly Required
w/ Adam Jennett
This class is for the student looking to take their pottery skills to the next level. We will expand your knowledge of added appendages and further altering of thrown forms, which will provide many opportunities to expand your wheel-skills! We will focus on functional pottery forms that include multiples parts such as jars, cups, pitchers, and pouring pots! This class is geared towards intermediate to advanced students. Like the title says, some assembly required!

TUESDAY
Hand Building w/ Ann Murdoch Geiger
The pottery wheel is not the only way to create beautiful pottery! Ann will guide you through a 4 week adventure creating a variety of functional items made from slabs of clay. Ann is an experienced hand builder, so come, create, and have fun! No experience necessary.

Back to Basics w/ Eileen Anania
Start the new year off on the right foot by going "back to basics". Whether you have been throwing for a while or are returning to the wheel after a long hiatus, Eileen will meet you where you are. This 8 week course will start with "boot camp", designed to refresh and sharpen your throwing skills. Throughout the course, we will focus on getting comfortable with the metal rib, shaping, trimming, and working with larger amounts of clay. Lastly, we will cover the intricacies of glazing. Some throwing skills are required for this class.

Back to Basics w/ Eileen Anania

Independent Study /w Adam Jennett
If you are looking for more in-depth conversations about your work and process, or just need space and guidance to work on personal projects this is the class for you! Demos will be scheduled and offered by request during the class, covering both the creation of work and glazing. Hand building and wheel throwing are both welcome!

SATURDAY
Sets: Production Pottery w/ Justin Mastrangelo
Learn to throw sets of mugs, bowls, plates, and lidded canisters! This class welcomes all skill levels to explore the fundamentals of production pottery used to create sets. Students will learn standards for trimming and how to glaze work consistently, along with techniques for using throwing gauges & lid calipers. After developing a production mindset, each potter will be encouraged to explore aesthetic and functional considerations as a way to create a "production line" of forms that are related to one another.

SUNDAY
Introduction to the Clay Studio w/ Kris Gildenblatt
Are you looking for something new and fun to do on those cold, wintery Sundays? During this 8 week class, Kris will introduce you to the clay studio. You will learn the BASICS of working with clay through hand building and wheel throwing. You will have a chance to complete a project from start to finish, from trimming to glazing, and firing. This is the perfect beginner class for someone who has never tried working with clay. Come give it a whirl! Bring a friend! You'll be glad you did!

OPEN STUDIO

Without taking a class - Use of studio during scheduled hours, one bag of clay. Use of glazes and firing. No instruction provided.
