((( The Smithy Clay Studio's First Online Zoom Workshop! ))) When: Tuesday, March 2nd , 10am-12pm Instructor: Adam Jennett Class Fee: $40.00 Learn the ins & outs of making handles Perfect subject to learn from home Minimal tools required For hand-builders or throwers Workshop Description This two hour workshop will focus on all the ins and outs of making handles whether you hand build or throw. This workshop is perfect to participate from home as we will be starting from scratch with minimal tools. You will be able to follow along at home using clay (available for purchase) or you can choose to simply take notes and ask questions. I will demonstrate how I use inanimate objects like spray bottles to work out handle ideas before attaching them to work. This is a good chance for everyone to hang out and socialize, even if it’s virtually! Tool List 2 gal. bucket or water container washable work surface knife plastic wrap small brush sponge towel rubber ceramic rib (credit card will work!) For texture, feel free to use anything at hand! Optional needle tool wire tool 5 lb bag of clay, available from Clay Studio for +$5.00 How To Register: To register and pay for the class, please email Adam at the studio at gallery@smithyarts.org.
