Description: Flower bricks, similar to fancier bough pots or tulipieres, were very popular decorative objects in 18th-century homes. Their clean rectangular form has broad surfaces for decorating and they are fun to hand build with slabs of clay. Using the flower brick form as a jumping-off point, we will be building our vessels for the first one-two weeks then glazing for the next one-two weeks. Demonstrations will cover making and connecting slabs as well as adding lids and altering slabs to change the shape of your vessels. Select other handbuilding techniques will be covered as needed.*8-Person Capacity
