What is Spring Cleaning? It is a biennial sale of gently used fine arts, crafts, and various artistic supplies & tools donated by area artists and patrons all available at deeply discounted prices! From our closets to your walls, this fun event is designed to make artwork affordable to everyone from homeowners and designers to antique dealers and business owners! There is bound to be something for everyone – ceramics, paintings, etchings, pastels, antiques, frames & textiles all at reasonable prices! All proceeds from this sale benefit the CAA and its Prize Fund for artists.
Wings, Stings, & Other Things
“Wings, Stings, and Other Things” is a fun and imaginative collaborative art project from Milford, NY. Milford High School Art Students will be re-imagining the insect artwork of their Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade counterparts in Gallery B. This exhibit will be on display March 11th through the 31st and is the brainchild of Milford Art Teachers Sascha Burdick & Caitlin Cook-Wightman.
The CAA Gallery Shop
Our ongoing Gallery Shop features a large variety of original work by local and regional member artists. Jewelry, ceramics, fiber and more delight the eyes and make the perfect gift for an anniversary, wedding or birthday. Make someone’s day with an original artwork including oils, watercolors, etchings, photography and more! Opening March 11th and running through October 2023.
Community Murals: Spanning Generations
“Community Murals Spanning Generations” will be a display of murals by two different generations of artists from Cooperstown. Max Jones, a Cooperstown High School Senior, will showcase his current body of work on one side of the gallery while murals in memory of Frank M. VanAuken will grace the other side. Frank was born, raised, and lived in our community for his entire life. He began painting murals after moving to Woodside Hall in February of 2018. Frank passed away in November 2022 and Woodside Hall looks forward to publically sharing his artwork with the community. This exhibit will be on display March 21st through the 31st in Gallery A.

The Cooperstown Art Association Galleries are located at 22 Main St. in the Village Hall, on the Corner of Main & Fair Street in Cooperstown. For more information, visit www.cooperstownart.com
