Figure Drawing Classes at the CAA!

Advanced Long Pose Figure Drawing Workshop

with Jonathan Pincus

ONLY TWO SPOTS LEFT, ACT FAST!

Advanced Long Pose Figure Drawing Workshop

with Jonathan Pincus

3 Days | Tues. - Thurs., July 9 - 11, 6:00 - 9:00pm

$200 CAA Members | $205 Non-Members

Maximum Participants: 5 | Materials Provided

Registration Deadline: June 25th

In this advanced, long pose drawing workshop, Jonathan Pincus, MFA cum laude

New York Academy of Art, and Lecturer of Art at Hartwick College will teach 19th

century academic drawing strategies.

Artists such as Thomas Eakins, Kenyon Cox, Frank Vincent DuMond, Robert Henri, Dennis

Miller Bunker and more transformed American Art education when they returned from

Parisian ateliers and taught how to draw the forms of the human body with more accuracy and precision at The Pennsylvania Academy of Art, National Academy of Design, Art Students League, and Boston schools.

This fostered the golden age of American illustration during which time Norman Rockwell, J.C. Leyendecker, Howard Pyle, N.C. Wyeth and others revolutionized American visual culture. These same principles informed the drawings of models at the Fenimore

Museum’s past exhibition Drawn from Life: Three Generation of Wyeth Figure Studies.
