CAA Announces Quilt Show & “An Artistic Discovery” Winners
The Fenimore Quilt Club and the Cooperstown Art Association proudly present the Cooperstown Quilt Show Viewer's Choice. The CAA estimates that well over 2,000 quilt lovers attended this year’s show and each person was asked to vote for their favorite. The 21st Annual Quilt Show was a truly regional exhibit and included participants from far and wide. Out of 117 quilted pieces in the show, which included full size quilts, wall hangings, baby quilts and pillows, the Viewer’s Choice was a tie between #144 “Rabbit in My Garden” by Wanda Thompson of Bainbridge, NY and #150 “Album of Memories” by Sheila Francesconi of Otego, NY. Congratulations to you both! Last but not least, Sandy Jones of Clifton Park and daughter to Fenimore Quilt Club member, Joyce Jones, was lucky enough to have her name drawn at the end of the show as the winner of the 2012 Raffle Quilt made by members of the Fenimore Quilt Club. The Fenimore Quilt Club and the Cooperstown Art Association would like to thank all the participants for making this year’s exhibit so successful. For questions, or more information, please call (607) 547-9777.
