The Cooperstown Art Association is accepting fine art & craft donations for its upcoming fundraiser, Spring Cleaning Art Bazaar! Take a peek in your closets, check out your walls and let the CAA help you clean out the old and bring home something new-to-you! The event is designed to make artwork affordable for everyone and will take place over three days, Friday April 19th from 7-9pm, and Saturday and Sunday, April 20th and 21st from 11-4pm. Remember, all donations are tax deductible and support a good cause! If you are tired of the same old artwork hanging on your walls or are looking to start an art collection, this is the perfect opportunity to accomplish your task while supporting the arts in the region. New this year, our Spring Cleaning Art Bazaar offers the opportunity to re-adorn your door for spring by purchasing a unique wreath donated by local artists and patrons. All proceeds from this fundraiser benefit the CAA and its Prize Fund for artists. Donations are being accepted through April 12th, please call the CAA at (607) 547-9777 if you are interested.
The Art Association will be kicking off the fundraiser Friday night, April 19th with a special Preview Sale and George Party from 7-9pm featuring champagne, desserts, mystery artwork and pre-sale of artwork. A $25 donation at the door admits you to this fun event. On Saturday and Sunday, April 20th and 21st, the sale is open to the public from 11-4pm each day. Come with your checkbook ready and browse the CAA’s Ballroom Gallery chock-full with a remarkable array of artwork collected by the CAA as well as work donated by local patrons.
