The Smithy Clay Studio Will Be Offering A 4-Week Session Beginning On November 4th!   We Are Now Taking Sign Ups! Classes fill quickly, so don't delay!     MONDAY Advanced Wheel Throwing:  Candlestick Holders & Gravy Boats w/ Adam Jennett This class is for the student looking to take their pottery skills to the next level. We will cover all the tips and tricks for making candlestick holders and gravy boats on the potter's wheel! With the holidays just around the corner it feels appropriate to learn how to make pots associated with holiday dinners. This class is great if you are looking to give a unique handmade gift for the holidays! This class is geared towards intermediate to advanced students. >>>   9am - 12pm | 4 weeks | Nov. 04 - Dec. 02 | $125   * No Class Nov. 25     Plates, Pie Plates & Platters w/ Eileen Anania So, you can throw a bowl and cylinder... here's your chance to take your skills to the next level. Join Eileen as she walks you through platemaking including pie plates and platters. Impress your family and friends this holiday season serving pie or cookies on your very own handmade pottery. This 4-week workshop is geared toward students with some throwing skills. >>>   6 - 9pm | 4 weeks | Nov. 04 - Dec. 02 | $125   * No Class Nov. 25 TUESDAY Hand Building w/ Ann Murdoch Geiger The pottery wheel is not the only way to create beautiful pottery! Ann will guide you through a four-week adventure creating a variety of functional items made from slabs of clay. Ann is an experienced hand builder. Come and have fun. No experience necessary. >>>   9am - 12pm | 4 weeks | Nov. 05 - Dec. 03 | $125   * No Class Nov. 26     Centering The Potter & The Clay: Wheel Throwing w/ Karla Andela We will focus on basic wheel throwing techniques while incorporating yogic stretching, alignment and breathing to center and refresh at the end of the work day. Beginners welcome.  >>>   6 - 9pm | 4 weeks | Nov. 05 - Dec. 03 | $125   * No Class Nov. 26 SATURDAY Wheel Throwing for the Holidays w/Justin Mastrangelo Holiday gifts are better when they're handmade! Learn to make sets of mugs, bowls, sponge holders, ring holders, ornaments, and decorative Christmas trees that you can share with friends and family. This class is great for beginners as well as advanced potters looking to create "production style" forms on the pottery wheel. >>>   10am - 1pm | 4 weeks | Nov. 09 - Dec. 07 | $125   * No Class Nov. 30 OPEN STUDIO November 04 - December 07  (4 Weeks) Open Studio Hours: Monday 12-3pm Wednesday 12-3pm Thursday 6-9pm Friday 12-3pm  Saturday 1-4pm Without taking a class - Use of Studio during scheduled hours, one bag of clay, use of glazes and firing.
