Then unleash your creativity and try for yourself. Mason stains are a versatile and fun way to add color and design to your ceramic pottery. WHAT TO EXPECT? - Slip trailing: This is a technique where a thin, fluid slip (a liquid clay) is applied to the surface of the pottery using a brush or syringe. The slip can be applied in a variety of patterns and designs and can be used to create both solid and sgraffito designs.
- Brushing: This is a more controlled technique where the Mason stain is applied to the pottery using a brush. This technique can be used to create more intricate designs.
