JOIN US FOR THIS FREE WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITY

ALL ARE WELCOME

THURSDAY, AUGUST 10TH

6 - 9PM

WHAT IS COLORED SLIP? Mason stains are a type of ceramic colorant found in many glazes. They are available in a wide range of colors and can be used to create simple or complex designs. Join Kyle Pumilio on Thursday, August 10th @ 6 PM as he provides a demonstration about how to make mansion stains and some creative application techniques. Then unleash your creativity and try for yourself. Mason stains are a versatile and fun way to add color and design to your ceramic pottery. With a little practice, you can create beautiful and unique pieces of art.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

  • Slip trailing: This is a technique where a thin, fluid slip (a liquid clay) is applied to the surface of the pottery using a brush or syringe. The slip can be applied in a variety of patterns and designs and can be used to create both solid and sgraffito designs.
  • Brushing: This is a more controlled technique where the Mason stain is applied to the pottery using a brush. This technique can be used to create more intricate designs.
  • Slip transfer: Come and reward your curiosity.
