Annual Regional Juried Art Show Passage By Kristen Griger Leatherstocking Brush & Palette Club OPENING RECEPTION May 17 from 5-7pm awards presented at 6pm ON DISPLAY May 17 - June 26 Gallery Hours Tues - Sat, 11am-4pm ESSENTIAL ART Annual Regional Juried Art Exhibit ESSENTIAL ART is a juried art show celebrating the talents of artists residing in New York State. The jurors this year are Ruben Salinas & Timothy Sheesley. These two talented judges will select artwork submitted by New York State artists to create a show that is truly outstanding! ESSENTIAL ART will be on display through June 26th in Gallery A. Passage By Kristen Griger Kristen Griger is a native to Upstate NY, resident of Otsego county, and lives on a hobby farm in the hills of beautiful Cooperstown. Her work consists of oil on canvas using a limited palette of earth tone hues. The paintings are mounted in a simple wooden frame that she has designed and built by hand. This recent body of work is a visceral response to daily adventures while passing through life. Hiking quiet wooded trails, observing clouds dancing across the sky, witnessing diamond-like dappled sunlight on the lake, all inspire her to honor this beauty with her artistic voice. Passage will be on display until June 26 in Gallery B. The Leatherstocking Brush & Palette Club Fine Art Show A Group Exhibit We are proud to present the annual Leatherstocking Brush and Palette Club Fine Arts Exhibition, now in its 57th year! This exhibit showcases work by Otsego County artists and will include a Memorial Display of work by former Leatherstocking Brush & Palette Club historian, Dorothy Smith. The following list includes artists possibly being exhibited, but not limited to: Joy Austin, Nancy Beront, David Cocco, Marieanne Coursen, Edie Dayton, Nancy Einreinhofer, Martha Gauthier, Marge Harris, Leota Hendrix, Tina Keil, Abbey Koutnik, Judith Snedeker Jaquith, Carol Lernihan, Maureen Meyerhoff, Barbara Allen Purcell, Janet Teshke, David Webb, Carole Johansen Westerman and Marge Woodrow and more. The exhibit will be on display through June 19th in Gallery C.
