Join us for Open Studio Life Drawing Important Details Below FIGURE THIS CANCELED WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 4th PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW AS IT PERTAINS TO THE CONTINUATION OF Figure This! OUR ONGOING OPEN STUDIO LIFE-DRAWING AND SKETCHING SESSIONS Hello All, We would like to wish you all a happy and healthy start to the Fall Season and give an update on the current state of the CAA’s ongoing figure drawing open-studio, Figure This!, held every Wednesday evening from 6-9pm in the CAA’s classroom space. We were overwhelmed and enthused by the initial response and consistent participation that this program was able to secure, allowing for a reasonably priced and regularly occurring open-studio opportunity to our patrons and community members who wished to maintain or improve their figure drawing skills. We are reaching out to you today to gauge community interest in continuing these sessions. As our regular model for these sessions has recently left the area we must now look for a new model(s) to pose for these sessions, but our search is contingent on a commitment of participation from you to attend these sessions. Tonight’s session (October 4th) is canceled as we continue to gauge community interest and search for a model(s). Please reply to the poll below as to whether you are interested in attending these sessions in the future. Would you like to regularly attend these sessions in the future? Yes Select I am interested but would like to learn more Select No Select Recently participation in this open-studio opportunity has steadily declined, forcing us to make the difficult decision as to whether we continue to offer these sessions regularly as we have become accustomed to. Figure This! is a self-sufficient program that relies on participation fees to compensate the model. An initially strong participation rate afforded us supplementary funds to continue to pay our models through periods of low attendance. Unfortunately these funds have since depleted due to diminishing attendance rates, thus rendering the program non-sustainable. A commitment of participation from you is necessary to keep this program running. Open Studio Life Drawing Wednesday Evenings | 6 - 9pm This is a non-instructed open studio workshop with live-nude models for sketching. These workshops are hosted by the Cooperstown Art Association and guided by Jonathan Pincus, who will be present during each session. $18 Cash donation per session A "Punch Card" will be available during each session for $150 that is valid for 10 sessions.
