Plein Air Painting at Hyde Hall Saturday, May 17, from 8am - 4pm
For the fourth year of their annual plein air painting event, Otsego Land Trust is partnering with Hyde Hall Historic Home & Museum to bring to the community a uniquely inspiring and transportive day! The event will take place on the lawn surrounding the magnificent historic home. Set in the rolling hills that overlook Otsego Lake, artists can fully escape into the romance of this inspiring setting.
At Hyde Hall, there is something for every eye! Participants may choose any spot or vista on the lawn, and are encouraged to capture the surroundings in any way they wish. From the lake, hills, architecture, flora, or follies, we look forward to seeing how each artist will capture this marvelous new venue. Plein Air Painting 2025 offers participants a unique opportunity for creativity and community, in support of conservation! Hyde Hall is located on the northern tip of Otsego Lake, a part of Glimmerglass State Park.
